Project snapshot
From complex financial workflows to a production-ready multi-product platform.
Amber was engineered as a coordinated product suite rather than a single application. Our work covered product discovery, technical architecture, experience design, web and mobile development, backend and back-office engineering, quality assurance, release operations and production handover.
Desktop workspaces for core operations were connected with the primary mobile platform app, a dedicated mobile wallet, a crypto POS-terminal application and a purpose-built application for the VARA certification process. Product, compliance and marketing worked in the same delivery cadence, keeping onboarding, go-to-market materials, product education and launch communications aligned with what engineering shipped.

Approach
One shared operating model connects customers, organizations, wallets, assets, quotes, transfers, payments, terminals, compliance checks and audit history across every product surface.
01 / Context
A platform for the complete operating cycle of a crypto-first business.
Digital-asset businesses need to onboard customers, complete compliance checks, manage wallets, exchange assets, accept payments, support merchants and reconcile transactions without losing operational context. Customers expect these actions to feel simple, while internal teams need precise control over every account, balance, status and exception.
02 / Engineering challenge
Coordinate money movement, permissions and compliance without fragmenting the product.
Every transaction had to remain consistent across desktop applications, the mobile platform, the wallet, POS terminals and administrative tools. At the same time, sensitive operations required role-based permissions, traceable decisions, dependable integrations and controls that could support regulatory review.

Full-cycle development
Five coordinated delivery streams turned Amber into one dependable product ecosystem.
Product strategy and go-to-market system
We mapped customer, merchant, operations and compliance journeys; defined the shared product model; and converted business priorities into a sequenced delivery roadmap. The marketing team developed positioning, acquisition paths, onboarding messages, product education, launch materials and release communications alongside the product rather than after it.
Core architecture and transaction services
We structured the platform around organizations, customers, wallets, assets, quotes, transfers, payments, settlements, terminals and compliance cases. Versioned contracts, consistent transaction states and asynchronous processing allow multiple applications to use the same business rules while remaining independently deployable.
Desktop platform and operational back-office
The desktop product suite brings CRM, customer onboarding, wallet and asset operations, exchange and payment workflows, merchant administration, reporting and compliance casework into a connected workspace. Role-based back-office tools give support, finance and operations teams controlled access to configuration, reviews and exceptions.
Mobile platform, wallet and crypto POS
The primary mobile application gives customers access to their platform activity, while the dedicated wallet experience focuses on balances, transfers and transaction history. The POS-terminal application supports merchant quote creation, payment requests, live transaction status, receipts and settlement handoff through the same platform services.
VARA readiness, quality and production operations
A purpose-built VARA certification application organized KYC, KYB and AML workflows, permissions, audit evidence and operational controls into a reviewable end-to-end flow. Contract, integration and end-to-end tests were combined with cross-device and terminal testing, staged releases, structured logging, alerting and operational runbooks.
Connected product
One operating model across internal teams, customers, wallets and merchant payments.
Desktop teams can work with detailed operational data while customers and merchants see only the actions relevant to their current task. Shared identities, transaction states, permissions and compliance rules keep every channel synchronized, allowing a payment or transfer to move from initiation to confirmation, review and reconciliation without being recreated in disconnected systems.

Technology
An architecture built for multiple clients, traceable transactions and controlled change.
Component-based web clients support the desktop operations suite and POS workflows, while cross-platform mobile applications power the main platform and wallet experiences. Versioned APIs connect customer, wallet, transaction, payment and compliance services. Real-time events keep time-sensitive statuses current, and background jobs handle reconciliation, notifications and longer-running operational checks.
A relational system of record preserves financial and compliance relationships, with caching and queued processing supporting responsive interfaces and resilient workflows. Strong authentication, role-based access, audit trails and controlled integration credentials protect sensitive operations. Containerized environments, continuous delivery, automated testing, error tracking and distributed observability make releases repeatable across the product suite.

The result
A production foundation for Amber’s complete digital-asset operations ecosystem.
The delivered platform connects core desktop operations, CRM, payments and exchange workflows, the customer mobile application, a dedicated wallet, crypto POS, compliance and certification flows, and internal administration. Shared services, controls and delivery practices let Amber introduce new products and integrations without rebuilding the same operational logic for every channel, while marketing and product teams have a consistent system for onboarding, education and ongoing releases.
